It wasn't all that long ago that I covered H&M's new shop concept called "& Other Stories" which made me prick up my ears. But today I had to realize that the Swedish retailer isn't the only one who plans an enlargment in Germany. According to Inditex's press release, Pull&Bear will open its first store in Berlin in spring 2013. "Pull&Bear satisifies the need of young people who chose to dress casually, rejecting stereotypes and wanting to feel comfortable in their clothes by bringing together international trends, mixing them with street and club fashion influences and reinterpreting the style to create comfortable, easy-to-wear garments at unbeatable prices", the press officer promises.
To me that sounds pretty similar to the concepts of H&M, Bershka or Zara. Nonetheless, I am dying to see the new store. So, what do you say? Are you curious about the new brand in Germany or is it overkill as we already have so much different retailers?
By the way: The Berlin establishment has more than 700qm² distributed in two floors where they will offer the latest collections for woman and man. A vast space, isn't it? In the end, the store concept pretty reminds me of Hollister as it is inspired by the Califonian way of life. Based on the town of Palm Springs it is "recognizable, spontaneous and joyful, halfway between a quintessential American city and a European city", the press release implies. I stay curious.
